How do I find the NOS for eg Wood Occupations?
Two suggested ways
Method 1
To access the NOS for Wood Occupations, please follow the steps below: (the full suite of NOS are contained in the pdf document attached to the suite record)
§ From the home page, click on Find Occupational Standards (at the top of the page under the Skills for Business logo)
§ Click on the Suites tab - this brings up an alphabetical list of all the suites in the NOS Directory
§ Find the one you require eg Wood Occupations and click on this
§ This opens up the suite title with a list of the units within the suite
§ Click on the title Suite: Wood Occupations and this opens up the Suite record. This includes a pdf document containing the full units within this suite.
Method 2
Alternatively, if you know the name of the Sector Skills Council or Standards setting body who are stewards of the NOS:
§ From the home page, click on Find Occupational Standards (at the top of the page under the Skills for Business logo)
§ Click on the Organisations tab
§ There are two alphabetical lists of organisations: Sector Skills Councils and Standards setting bodies. Click on the relevant organisation eg ConstructionSkills
§ This brings up a list of the suites of National Occupational Standards including eg Wood Occupations
§ Click on Wood Occupations and this opens up the suite title with a list of the units within the suite
§ Click on the title Suite: Wood Occupations and this opens up the Suite record. This includes a pdf document containing the full units within this suite.
